Sophie Calle-Owen Sampson

     
Sophie Calle is a photographer with a specific style that follows along with what I did during this final, specifically stalking people. A lot of her work goes along her following people and indulging in people's private lives and that's something that kinda hits home with mines. In a series called "The Hotel, Room 47" Calle was hired to be a chambermaid in a hotel called Venetian as she goes around looking into people's rooms she takes pictures of things that could be of value to them and this follows along the way I stalk Cameron throughout my series.

Calle has a mini-series of the Hotel as shoes, clothes, and other potential things that the people likely use on a daily basis are photographed and kept to be seen for the audience to see these things. My work of following Cameron around and showing how much of Cameron's life I can put into the pictures I have taken really puts in the mystery of why I am doing this and how scary it is to see the series looking through the stalker's lens. In many of the other photos that Calle has she goes into taking pictures and following someone basically stalking them showing the lens of what others would likely not want to put fear that the audience could also potentially have a stalker or be the next person which makes Sophie Calle the best photographer to write about who is similar to my project.
