Nikki S. Lee-Owen Sampson

Nikki S. Lee is an American photographer who was born in 1970 that was born in Korea as her family moved to America with a style that follows along with self-portraits. Her photography would consist of pictures that would bring sight to different types of cultures in America as she would also dress in part to fit in with other types of people.

This picture really brings out the light of those who live in what seems like a poor setting. With the woman in the picture smiling, it brings the theme to me on the fact that there can be happiness in a multitude of conditions even if it would seem sad. Another theme this could also bring is the fact that Nikki S. Lee is staring at the camera with confidence also showing strength showing the strength of women.

This picture really stands out to me on how Nikki S. Lee can be bold in the pictures she shows to the public to push out her meaning within her artwork. In many parts of her artwork, she pushes out to make sure that she would fit into the cultures she pushes out for the public to see which maybe goes along with her meaning that a lot of the cultures she would show are open arms to the many that would want to fit in.
